Atalein is the music project of Queensland born, Melbourne based producer Laura Semple. Laura has spent the better part of her life exploring music- beginning with classical piano at age six and more recently entering the dark electronic world with band RKDA.
The freedom to break rules made electronic music enticing, making Atalein Laura’s chance to explore and refine her own sound without boundaries. Atalein is developing the dark industrial sound she loves in collaboration with visual elements throughout her upcoming debut EP.

In writing their mature guitar-pop, Swim Season draw from the five very different musical backgrounds of its members- James Seymour (Vocals/Guitar), Matthew Jennings (Guitar/Vocals), Danielle Smarrelli (Keys/Vocals), Nelson Yeung (Bass) & Jonathon Ferraro (Drums). The Melbourne quintet born from earlier project We The People quickly garnered respect locally for their energetic live show and internationally for their remarkably catchy tunes and film clips.
Praise flowed in for 2014 singles ‘The Throne’ and ‘Hide & Seek’, but 2015’s ‘Soldiers’ really allowed them to make their mark, selling out shows around Australia and gracing a number of festival lineups. After taking some time off to write, record and allow lead singer James to recover from vocal cord surgery, the group celebrated 2017 singles ‘Lungs’ and ‘Collide’ with packed Melbourne shows & showcases at Singapore’s Music Matters conference.
Fusing electronic and acoustic elements, Kalacoma layer intricate rhythms and flimic soundscapes with soaring melodic vocals, weaving diverse influences into something had to pin down yet seamless in execution. Translating this into a unique performance, Kalacoma combine a band setup with live looped drums, samples and textures, creating engaging electronic music free from the rigid barriers of backing tracks and fixed tempos.
